Art Decoded Exhibition
“Decoding Art: Inspiring the Creative Economy”
Art Decoded Exhibition
The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), in collaboration with the Thai Art and Craft Development Association (TACDA), and supported by Neo Corporate Public Company Limited, Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited, and Bayer Thai Company Limited, organized the exhibition “Art Decoded.”
The opening ceremony of Art Decoded took place on September 4, 2024, presided over by Dr. Wiparat Dee-ong, Director of NRCT. The event featured a special lecture by Véronique Delignette-Schilling, Director of the Executive MBA in Global Fashion Management at the French Institute of Fashion (IFM), France, on the topic: “Creating Value in Product Design to Meet International Standards.”
This exhibition introduces a new approach to Thailand’s museum and exhibition sector, serving as a model for promoting the country’s creative economy through innovative art presentation. It brings together Thailand’s National Artists, international artists, and renowned designers to transform aesthetic experiences—traditionally perceived through visual senses—into tangible inspiration, resulting in prototype souvenir products.
Art Decoded is part of the “Research Project on International Exhibition Development and Souvenir Prototype Studies for Museums to Advance Commercial Products Based on Thailand’s Cultural Capital.” Its objectives are to integrate efforts to promote Thai art, develop the Thai craft design industry, and create valuable souvenir prototypes that elevate Thai products to the global creative economy stage.
The exhibition runs from September 4–27, 2024, at the National Gallery (Chao Fah Art Gallery), from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. 📍 Location: Google Maps Link For inquiries, please contact: Tel. 081-427-4998
